Who we are

AMillionPaths is being built by a small team in Tasmania with experience across career, employment and education services, workforce change, information technology and human behaviour.

We believe people make better decisions when real paths are visible, and when employers and educators can see more than what a CV or profile can show.

We also understand that real working lives are complex, rarely linear and deeply human. The best guidance often comes from the lessons of people who have walked similar roads before.

Our 'why'

A shared belief that work must be better.

AMillionPaths was built from a simple belief: people should not have to navigate work, study and change with limited practical guidance.

Careers rarely move in straight lines. People move sideways, pause, restart, care for others, retrain, take risks, get stuck and find momentum again through people and experiences that do not fit neatly on a CV.

AMillionPaths exists to make those real paths visible and useful. It is not a platform for self promotion. It is a growing library of lived experience that can help individuals explore what is possible, and help employers and educators make more informed decisions about people, learning and work.

Meet the team

Three people brought together by a shared belief: real paths should be easier to see, understand and learn from.

Gil brings over 50 years’ experience helping people navigate work and life decisions and has seen, up close, how often good people get stalled by unclear options, poor information, or a lack of support and the challenges faced by employers and educators.

Adam has worked across design, technology and consulting, with a path that has never fitted neatly into one label. He brings the product and systems thinking needed to turn individual paths into something useful at scale.

Our approach

A more human way to connect work, education and experiences.

AMillionPaths is intentionally human. We are not trying to reduce people to keywords or make career decisions feel cold and transactional. The platform starts with contribution: real work, education and defining experiences shared by people who want to help others.

This first beta release is the foundation. As more people add their paths, we will continue building features that make pathways easier to explore, support more informed hiring and education decisions, and create meaningful connections between people who can help each other move forward.

We are building this from Tasmania, where community and connection matter. In a world where many have lost the “village” that once helped people through life’s transitions, we’re trying to model it again; with care, clarity, and practical help, starting right here.

With UTAS, AMillionPaths is working to bridge the gap between education and employment—empowering people to navigate their futures with confidence and clarity.

AMillionPaths is an invite-only platform.

You can only join if someone already inside invites you — but we’re building this together, and we’d love to hear from people who believe in what we’re creating.
