What is AMillionPaths?

AMillionPaths is being built in stages. In this first beta release, we’re inviting people to share the work, education and defining experiences that have shaped their path, then return over time to add the insights, influences and decisions behind those moments.

As the community grows, these paths become more than individual stories. They become a connected picture of how people move through life, powered by a patent pending system that connects paths, roles and education in a way existing platforms don't.

This first beta release is about contribution. We’re inviting people to share the work, education and defining experiences that have shaped them, so AMillionPaths can begin building a more useful picture of how real paths unfold.

It does not need to be perfect or complete on day one. Start with what you can remember, and return to add more over time.

Start by adding the key events in your path. This is the most important first step, because these details help our patent pending system understand how work, education and defining experiences connect across many different people.

Even before you add deeper insights, your events help AMillionPaths reveal patterns that can support future career, education and employment decisions.

Add insights, tell the deeper story

Insights add the human detail behind each event: what changed, what you learned, who influenced you and what it led to. Many people find value in the act of reflecting itself, and you can add these insights over time.

When you’re ready, there is real power in inviting others to share their path. You do not need to have completed every insight first. Once your key events are in, your path already helps AMillionPaths grow.

People you invite can view your path, including what you think others might find useful about each event. If you’ve written about their influence, they’ll be able to see that too.

Every path added to AMillionPaths makes the platform more useful. As the community grows, our patent pending system will help people discover patterns they could not see before: how people move into roles, which experiences matter, and where different choices can lead.

This will support people at many points of transition, whether they are entering the workforce, returning after time away, changing direction, growing within an industry, thinking about study, or reflecting on what they have learned and what they can pass on.

Not every step is about work or education. Some of the most important moments in a path come from change, responsibility, community, care, loss, recovery, retirement or a new sense of purpose. AMillionPaths is being built to help people see how those moments shape what comes next too.

Explore potential career paths

This is where the patent pending system starts to become visible. In future releases, people will be able to explore possible routes from where they are now to where they might want to go, backed by real examples from the AMillionPaths community.

They will be able to see how roles, education, attributes, influences and defining experiences connect, and use filters like location, study, stage of life or connection to make the pathways more relevant.

It is designed for moments when people are asking: What could I do next? How did other people get there? What might I need to learn, try or understand before I begin?

What this means for employers and educators

Those same real paths will also give organisations a more practical way to understand people. For employers and educators, AMillionPaths will make fit, potential and readiness easier to see before important decisions are made.

For employersEmployers will be able to understand the real journeys people have taken into different roles, not just the qualifications or job titles they list. By seeing how experiences, education, attributes and influences connect, they can find people who are better aligned to the work, the culture and the opportunity.
